Understanding Cut Levels (ANSI A3–A9)
Cut-resistant gloves are rated by the ANSI/ISEA 105 scale from A1 (light) to A9 (extreme). For glass handling, metal stamping, and blade work, A4–A6 covers most industrial tasks, while A7–A9 protects against the sharpest hazards.
